Terms and Conditions of Use

    Introduction

This disclosure discusses the use of the "Cooperativa en su casa" service, and throughout the rest of the document, it will be referred to as the "Agreement." By using "Cooperativa en su casa," you agree to all the terms of this Agreement. Please read it carefully and keep a copy for your records.

"Cooperativa en su casa" is an Internet-based service that allows Credit Union members to access their financial information online from any web browser. This service will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except for predetermined maintenance intervals. The notification of these intervals is not considered necessary, as their determination is dependent on the system's requirements and is likely to remain a purely internal matter.

    What does this service include?

This service includes the following offerings:

    1. Balance and details information for all your accounts
    2. Balance and details information for all your loans
    3. Balance and details information for all your certificates
    4. Historical information for all your accounts and loans (Statements)
    5. Balance and details information for the MasterCard
    6. Transfers between the member accounts
    7. Electronic bill payment
    8. Transaction download
    9. Stop payment of checks

This service is entirely online, and balances are updated instantly upon transaction completion. After a transaction the system will present your new balance on the screen. In cases where no transactions are made, and due to the "stateless" nature of the Internet, it will be necessary to refresh the page as needed to show balances instantly.

Only MasterCard Credit Card information is not available instantly, and its update depends on MasterCard.

    Registration process

To use the service, it is only necessary to have Internet access and at least one active account as a member of the Credit Union. Using your account number, and social security number you can create a password. We recommend using a password that is convenient for you but not easily detectable by strangers. Recommendations:

    1. Do not use names
    2. Do not use dates
    3. Do not use your Credit Union PIN
    4. Use combinations of letters and numbers over 8 digits

It is recommended that this password be changed at least every month to ensure security.

If at any time you lose your password, it is used without your consent, or you think it may be compromised, you can change it through the "Cooperativa en su Casa" service by accessing your Internet service page.

If you forget your password, it will be necessary to contact the Credit Union for your account to be initialized. The Credit Union does not have access to your password, and therefore, it can only be deleted for you to access the registration process and assign a new one.

    Effectiveness of your transactions

All the information in this service is entirely online (on line), and balances are updated instantly upon transaction completion. After a transaction (such as payments or transfers), the system will take the balance instantly to display it on the screen. In some cases, due to the nature of the Internet, it may be necessary to use the "refresh" option on the information page, as required.

Only MasterCard Credit Card information is not available instantly since its update depends on MasterCard services. However, the page will indicate the date until which the account of your card has been updated, pending payments, current balance, and available balance, as well as other details of your card up to that date.

This service displays on each page the date used by the financial system of your Credit Union. You should use this date as the validity date of the information presented. The date on each page in the system may not necessarily be the date on which you will be viewing your information, and this is due to the operational nature of banking.

Payment service of electronic bills "Pago Coop"

The "Pago Coop" program is a service that allows you to make automatic payments to your creditors electronically. By using "Pago Coop", you can instruct the Credit Union to make automatic payments and transfers over the Internet.

To subscribe to "Pago Coop", you must request access to the service through the Credit Union's Website by visiting our website and following the indicated instructions. Once you provide the required information, and it is duly verified and authenticated, the Credit Union will start providing the service.

To subscribe to the "Pago Coop" program, you must first enroll in the "Coopnet" program by accessing this option on our main Internet page. The "Pago Coop" program allows you to schedule the payment of your bills through the "tele-tecla" telephone service or through the Credit Union's Website. You can pay any creditor that is on the list of participating merchants.

By providing us with the names of your creditors / beneficiaries or by selecting them from the list provided, you authorize us to follow the payment instructions you provided through "Coopnet" or the "tele-tecla" telephone service of "Pago Coop". You can pay any merchant that is within our list of participating merchants. When we receive payment instructions, we will forward the funds to the creditor/beneficiary on your behalf, from the funds in the eligible checking or savings account you selected and on the date you indicated. However, we are not obligated to make such payment until your account or credit line has sufficient funds or credit availability to pay.

Payments made through "Pago Coop" require you to provide your creditor / beneficiary with sufficient time to properly credit your account. To avoid being charged financing or other fees, you must schedule payments with enough time for creditors to receive payments before the due date.

The Credit Union working days are from Monday to Friday, except holidays. The deadline for entering payments on any working day will be 2:30 PM. If you schedule payments after this time or during a non-working day, it will be processed on the next working day.

You must schedule your payments to be made at least seven (7) working days before the due date.

It is expressly agreed that the Credit Union will not be responsible for late fees or any kind of penalty imposed by the creditor, nor for damages or inconveniences suffered by you as a result of payments made after the due date, if such delay is attributable to a late notification made by you or the lack of available funds in your account.

Information about transactions from this service

You will not receive a separate statement with transactions made through this service. The transactions performed will become part of your monthly statement with the description of transactions made through the "Cooperativa en su Casa" service.

    Cancellation of the service

The Credit Union reserves the right to cancel the service at any time with or without prior notice. Any situation that may be considered a default (delinquency, insufficient funds, etc.) may be sufficient reason to cancel the service.

You will be responsible for transactions made prior to the cancellation of the service and, therefore, will be responsible for any charges related to it (e.g., Payments or Stop Payments). To resume or get more information about the cancellation of the service, it will be necessary for you to contact your Credit Union's member service department.

    Your rights

If you find any irregularities or errors such as unauthorized transactions or incorrect system operation, you must immediately notify the Credit Union.

The Credit Union will respond to situations reported within two (2) working days following the date on which it became aware of the incident. Failure to report these issues may result in losses from your account due to negligence. Contacting your Credit Union immediately is the safest way to ensure your money. If the Credit Union determines that the problem could have been avoided if you had reported the irregularity immediately or at least within two (2) working days following the date on which you became aware of the incident, you will lose the right to a refund.

Additionally, you must carefully review your statements and immediately report any irregularities. Remember that you must report any irregularities related to this service in your statement no later than sixty (60) days after the Credit Union has sent the first copy of the statement that shows this irregularity. If you fail to report, you will be responsible for these transactions. When contacting the Credit Union, you will need to provide:

    1. Your name, social security, and account number
    2. A description of the irregularity or transaction you have doubts about, along with an explanation of what you consider the problem
    3. The amount in dollars of what you consider an error.

To submit this information, you will need to visit the Credit Union, and if this is not possible, you can:

    1. Send notice by certified mail
    2. Send notice by fax and confirm that it has been received.
    3. Call by phone and confirm in writing no later than ten (10) working days from the date of your call.

In case you need to contact the Credit Union, the phones and address are in the "Contact Us" section of the website.

    Disclosure of Personal Information

Except as provided below and in accordance with our current Privacy Policy, the Credit Union will only disclose information about your accounts or automatic payments to third parties:

    1. When necessary to complete a transaction
    2. When necessary to submit a verification for credit services
    3. When necessary to comply with state or federal regulations
    4. If you access this with written permission from the Credit Union
    5. If it is a claim against the Credit Union about a transaction from your accounts
    6. If necessary to comply with court orders or government agency orders

    Valid authorization of your transactions

By generating any transaction that affects your accounts, you agree that the transaction will be valid even if there is no signature or written authorization from you. It is also not necessary for the Credit Union to prepare a notice informing you of the transactions you have generated, except that it will appear on the statement or deposit slip.

    Security of your transactions

The Credit Union has spared no effort to take all possible precautions to ensure secure operation in using this system.

All transactions are carried out in a secure environment (SSL) with 128-bit support. This means that the data presented and offered undergoes encryption algorithms before being exchanged.

Our servers are certified by "Verisign," who is in turn an authority on certificates and security grants on the Internet. This ensures that this service is being offered to you by the correct provider and not by someone pretending to be us on the Internet.

Our service uses "cookies" to establish information about your session. This information is not used to obtain data from your system.

For security reasons, your session has a limited timeout. If no transactions are made within a certain time, it will be necessary to enter your password again.

You must understand and accept the importance of preventing the misuse of your accounts with this service. It is your duty to examine and compare the information provided by the service once you receive your statement by mail. You must accept the responsibility of protecting the confidentiality of your account information and secret password in the same way that you must protect information such as your license and social security. You must understand that personal identifications in conjunction with information from your account and secret number may allow unauthorized access to this service to people who obtain this information, and therefore it is your duty to protect it.

    Amendments

The Credit Union reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement as it deems necessary, with prior notice to you. There will be no prior notification if an immediate change is necessary for security reasons.

    Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the statutes and laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws and regulations, as well as by the conditions and requirements arising from this Agreement. If there is any inconsistency between any term of this Agreement and applicable laws, regulations, or rules, they will prevail over such clauses or conditions, but the other terms of this Agreement will remain valid and effective.
